How WerkTrip works.

Quick answers for planning trips, splitting shared costs, inviting crew, and keeping the trip story together.

Common questions

What does WerkTrip do?

WerkTrip combines trip planning, crew coordination, ShareTab receipt splitting, and trip memories so a group can keep planning and shared spending in one flow.

Where should I start?

Start with Planner when you need dates, stops, invites, and itinerary momentum. Start with ShareTab when the immediate problem is splitting a receipt or saved bill.

How does ShareTab fit into a trip?

ShareTab handles receipt scanning, item assignment, tax and tip visibility, saved split history, and trip-linked bill context when the group wants the money side attached to the trip.

Can I use the app before signing in?

You can explore public pages and start some ShareTab flows without signing in. Signing in helps preserve saved trips, ShareTab history, invite context, and trip continuity.

Can smart planning help build a schedule?

Planner includes smart itinerary tools that can turn rough trip notes into stops, schedule updates, and next actions using the trip details already available in the planner.

What happens after the trip?

Trip memories and recap surfaces help turn the itinerary, crew context, and shared moments into recap-ready material without starting over in another tool.

What information can appear in a public recap?

Public recap surfaces should use curated story details, broad location labels, high-level trip stats, and safe planning links only. They should not expose invite tokens, email addresses, private notes, receipt details, payment handles, or private trip IDs.
